Planned: Third Floor

CRH Third Floor - Planned Location of Services

Planned floor plan for the Third Floor at Calderdale Royal Hospital Area 1 Area 2 Area 3 Area 4 Area 5 Area 6 Area 7 Area 8

1. Respiratory Ward

The respiratory ward and RSU (currently ward 5) will be moving to ward 4.

2. Theatre and ICU Office Accommodation

3.Trauma Orthopaedics

Trauma Orthopeadics will move from HRI to CRH Ward 8. Ward 8 is currently the location of Elective Orthopeadics and ENT. As part of reconfiguration Elective Orthopeadics will relocate to HRI. 

 

4. Theatres

Calderdale Theatres will remain in the same location. All unplanned surgical procedures will happen at Calderdale (including planned care requiring ICU).  All planned / elective surgery will take place at Huddersfield

5. ICU/HDU

All Intensive Care and HDU capacity will be on the Calderdale site. 

6. Agile Admin

This area will remain as office accomodation; and will be accessible for all and will promote a hot desking style of working. It will also support our Virtual Clinics.

7. Hospital Radio

Calderdale Radio will remain in the same location with no changes planned.

8. Surgical Non-Elective Wards, Surgical Assessment Unit and Gastroenterology

The 3rd floor of the new clinical build will be the location of:

  • Surgical Assessment Unit
  • Surgical Non-Elective Ward
  • Gastroenterology
